Why do patients stay? It’s pretty clear.

In our survey of more than 1,000 fertility patients, we found the four key reasons that keep patients coming back and four things patients value most in their fertility doctor — as well as what they value most in their fertility doctor.

Top 4 reasons patients choose to stay with their fertility practice:

  1. Ability to Access/Insurance/Coverage (29%)
  2. Already Enrolled in Next Steps at Clinic (e.g., purchased IVF bundle, embryo storage) (26%)
  3. Connection with Staff (25%)
  4. Feeling of Optimism (20%)

Top 4 things patients value most in their fertility doctor:

  1. Feeling the doctor is a good fit (24%)
  2. Interest in tailoring treatment to me, specifically, and considering different treatment options (13%)
  3. Connection; treated like a human being (11%)
  4. Communication and compassion (10%)

As you can see, a feeling of connection, compassion and taking an active part in their treatment journey is fundamental to their view of the patient-provider relationship.
